Thoughts Out Of Season

A researcher at Brock University in Ontario has found a correlation between low IQ's , conservative ideology and racism. Children with low intelligence were more likely to hold prejudiced views as adults. They were also more likely to be pro-gun, hoard food in expectation of the End Times, vote Republican and join groups such as the Tea Party. Oddly, many of them professed to having a best friend who was African American.

There is a reason the conservative wing of American politics is jumping on Benghazi as if it was the greatest political cover up since Bill Clinton pulled up his zipper. It's because they have no one to run in 2016 that can even come close to Hillary Clinton in 2016. Rubio? Please! Ryan? Was cup holder for Mitt "Duh" Romney in 2012, Chris Christie of New Jersey might have had a chance but by being a decent human being and showing respect for the president after the Hurricane Sandy disaster the conservatives see him as a traitor and wouldn't shed a tear if he got caught in an undertow at the Jersey Shore and was swept out to sea never to be seen again. Hillary is going to get the female vote, the liberal vote, the gay vote, the Jewish vote, the Democratic vote, etc... Marco Rubio's  gaffe/non-gaffe during the rebuttal of President Obama's SOTU is a perfect example of what I have said all along. Never let your lead guy out too soon! Mr. Rubio, heir apparent of the Republican Party and the upcoming Republican front runner for presidential nominee committed a minor gaffe the other night when on live TV he reached far to his left to snatch a drink from a bottle of Poland Spring. No real problem there. Looked a little awkward but nothing terrible. But here is the problem. By letting him out of the gate with 4 years to go until the election the Republican party has opened poor Mr. Rubio to the instant scrutiny of every fame seeking journalist and self-aggrandizing blogger in the world. Step in dog pooh? A million paparazzi snapping pictures of him scraping it off ; accidentally stiff some waitress at a local Piggly Wiggly, the waitresses union (if there is such) will picket his house the length of a month of Sundays (kudos to Curtis for that one);...

A gathering of Tea Party loyalists were thrown into a tizzy today when it was reported on a local Fox affiliate  that President Obama was secretly working on plans to incorporate Mexico as the Nation's 51st state. It was also reported that the President was preparing to annex Kenya, pardon Bernie Madoff and pose semi nude for Mother Jones Magazine.   Images of President Obama were burned in effigy although "in good taste" noted a local councilman who refused to give his name or be photographed because  the white sheet he was wearing was soiled with the residue of ashes "I am a bit vain" he said sheepishly" . Police officers assigned to the gathering were pelted with fresh tomatoes wrestled from an emaciated Mexican  "I worked for 14 hours picking those things now my boss won't pay me my $2.48.
